The book

When forgotten magic stirs

When Lilly, a linenmaid, witnesses real magic for the first time, something within her stirs. Her ordinary life unravels as she’s swept into a struggle that threatens all who would wield the Weave.

A chance encounter with the Crownwarden of Arkona sets her on a path that leads beyond the Pillar of Fayre and into a realm shaped by ancient magic. Guided by unlikely companions, Lilly is drawn into a search for a locket that may shape her future.

But as wonder gives way to danger, she begins to see that every thread of magic is tied to choice, and every act of courage leaves its mark.

Sophie and Iain Fletcher, father and daughter writing team

Father & daughter

It began with bedtime stories

Galwyn’s Locket began as stories shared between a father and daughter. Sophie was nine while the book was being written; her imagination shaped the turns of the story, the characters’ choices and the moments that mattered most.

Iain, a graphic designer and lifelong storyteller, shaped the novel’s structure, world and magic while writing alongside her. What began at bedtime grew into Arkona — and the world is still opening.

Find your way into the Weave

Galwyn teaches that there is no single way to wield the Weave. Words, movement, tools and thought can all give intent a shape. Choose what feels most natural to you.

Lesson 1 of 4Questions 1–3 of 12

Lesson One

The Basin of Bubbles

Galwyn sets a basin of bubbles before you. The point is not force, but certainty—and finding a method that feels like yours.

01 A single bubble hangs in the air. How do you try to draw it toward you?
02 The bubble wobbles, but you are not sure whether you moved it or the wind did. What helps you try again?
03 You finally feel the bubble answer. Which part of the moment feels most important?
